About the model

What does "no large upfront fee" actually mean?

Traditional agencies charge 30–50% of the total project cost before any work begins. We don't. We charge a small engagement fee to cover initial discovery and setup, and structure the remainder as milestone payments tied to specific deliverables — with a meaningful portion deferred until the product launches and demonstrates measurable results.

How do you make money if you don't charge upfront?

We make money the same way any good partner does — by shipping products that succeed. Our milestone structure ties the majority of our fee to the product going live and performing. When you win, we get paid. It keeps our incentives perfectly aligned with yours.

What if the project doesn't succeed?

We do thorough discovery before any engagement to make sure we're building the right thing. If a project is cancelled before launch, payment is proportional to the work completed. We don't hold clients to punishing termination fees.

What do you actually build?

We build web applications, SaaS platforms, AI-powered tools, e-commerce systems, MVPs for startups, and bespoke web presences. We also manage Google Knowledge Panels and entity optimization for executives and brands. If it involves code and a screen, we likely build it.

How fast do you ship?

A typical MVP or web product takes 6–10 weeks from kickoff to launch. More complex SaaS platforms run 12–20 weeks. We don't pad timelines — we scope what can actually be shipped in the time available and build from there.

Do you work with clients outside Vancouver?

Yes. We work with clients across Canada and internationally. Our team is remote-first, and we've built products for clients in Toronto, Calgary, and beyond. That said, we're proud to be Vancouver-based and prioritize the local business community.

What does the process look like?

Every engagement starts with a discovery call where we discuss your goals, constraints, and what success looks like. From there we scope the project, agree on milestones, and move into build. We ship iteratively and keep you informed throughout — no black box development.

Pricing & contracts

Do you give fixed-price quotes?

Yes. We scope projects thoroughly before quoting so that the price reflects the actual work. We're not fans of hourly billing that punishes clients when we're slow and rewards us when the scope creeps.

Can I see a sample contract?

Absolutely. We're happy to share a sanitized version of our standard engagement contract during discovery. We use plain-language agreements — no legalese that hides unpleasant surprises.
